A fair read

We sell one of these two products.

So every line in the Mindbody Messenger[ai] column above comes from its own public pages, and each one is linked at the foot of this page.

And where it is the better choice for your locations, this page says so next.

When each one is the better choice.

When to choose Fynso

  • Your locations run on a booking system Fynso supports, and you want one follow-up standard across them.
  • You want the whole cadence run and recorded: the first call, the texts, the booking, the confirmation, the no-show follow-up, and the handoff.
  • You need one verified view of follow-up across several locations or a franchise network, not a per-location inbox.

When to choose Mindbody Messenger[ai]

  • Every location runs on Mindbody or Booker and you want a front desk assistant that already lives in that software.
  • Your main gap is missed calls and unanswered questions, and text plus webchat is the coverage you want.
  • You want package and membership sales, check-in, and reminder texts handled in the same messaging tool your Mindbody subscription already includes.

What is the difference between Fynso and Messenger[ai]?

Messenger[ai] is Mindbody's AI front desk for businesses that run on Mindbody or Booker: it texts back after a missed call, answers questions, and books and sells over text and webchat. Fynso follows up with new leads by phone call and text inside the contact hours each location approves, books against real availability, and records every action. Fynso does not connect to Mindbody today.

The two differ in scope, in which systems they run with, and in what they record. The rest of this page sets out what Mindbody's own pages say, what Fynso does, and when each one fits.

What does Messenger[ai] do, according to Mindbody?

Mindbody's product page for the AI front desk describes a 24/7 AI front desk that answers questions and booking requests in the business's voice and flags a response for follow-up when it needs a person.

According to Mindbody's voicemail and call forwarding article (June 2026), unanswered calls are forwarded to Messenger[ai], which plays your voicemail greeting and takes a voicemail of up to five minutes. It then sends a missed-call text with booking information, typically within about a minute, and the client can reply to book or start a conversation. It sends at most one missed-call text to the same client within 24 hours.

Mindbody's feature comparison of its two messaging products (October 2025) lists an AI booking assistant for appointments and classes, missed-call texts, FAQ triggers, automated reminder texts, follow-up texts to rebook and after a first class or appointment, contactless check-in, checkout over text, and AI membership and package sales. For multi-location businesses it lists global brand settings, roles and permissions, and access to dashboards across locations. The same article notes that some features are only available with certain software packages or as an add-on.

Mindbody's custom responses article (July 2026) sets a 300-character limit on custom responses and describes a Send to front desk toggle that forwards a request to live chat.

Mindbody also markets a newer product. Its AI Concierge page says AI Concierge is built into Mindbody, follows up on missed calls and answers questions through text and webchat, and is included in the Mindbody Ultimate plan.

What does Fynso do differently?

Fynso does not wait for a missed call. When a new lead appears in a supported booking system, Fynso starts follow-up inside the contact hours the location approved: it calls, and texts if the call is not answered. Then it keeps the approved cadence until the person books, asks to stop, or the cadence ends. It books into the location's own schedule against real availability, sends the confirmation, follows up after a no-show, and hands the conversation to a person on your team when it needs one.

Everything it does is recorded in one format: calls, texts, replies, bookings, stops, and handoffs. Bookings are verified against the connected booking system after the fact. What Fynso reports are execution facts, not attributed revenue.

For an owner with several locations, or a franchise team, that record becomes one view: which locations followed up, which booked, and what is waiting on a person. Each location keeps its own voice and rules.

Where does each one run?

Messenger[ai] runs with a Mindbody or Booker subscription. That is its strength: it lives where a Mindbody business already works. Fynso connects to the systems listed on its integrations page, and Mindbody is not one of them today. If your locations run Mindbody, that is the first question to settle; we confirm what is supported for your setup before anything goes live.

Can you run both?

Do not assume the two can run independently on the same leads. Confirm integration support, trigger ownership, contact suppression and booking behavior with both providers before testing. Use a bounded test configuration to prevent duplicate outreach or bookings.

Where can you read more?

For a broader way to compare an AI front desk with other kinds of help, see how to choose an AI front desk, agent platform or agency. Every statement about Messenger[ai] and AI Concierge on this page comes from Mindbody's own public pages, linked where each claim is made and listed in the sources below; they were checked on September 26, 2026. If Mindbody changes its product, tell us and we will update the page. To talk through your own setup, ask about your system.

Does Fynso replace Messenger[ai]?

Not for a business on Mindbody today, because Fynso does not connect to Mindbody. For locations on a booking system Fynso supports, Fynso runs the lead follow-up cadence, the record and the multi-location view. Confirm how any existing messaging tool and Fynso would share leads before testing both.

Does Fynso work with Mindbody?

Not today. Mindbody is not on Fynso's list of supported systems, which is kept on the integrations page. If your locations run Mindbody, tell us what you use and we will say plainly what is and is not possible for your setup.

What is the difference between Messenger[ai] and Mindbody's AI Concierge?

According to Mindbody's AI Concierge page, AI Concierge is built directly into Mindbody, is included in the Mindbody Ultimate plan, and follows up on missed calls and answers questions through text and webchat. Messenger[ai] is Mindbody's separate AI front desk product with its own login. Check with Mindbody which one your subscription includes.
